The first in a string of EPs paving the way to his debut album to be released later in 2022, Erik's maiden flight on his own, "Worthless", was - as its name suggests - nurtured on the impression of being worthless, and while it may obviously sound like a sad story somehow, the realisation that this odd feeling served Erik as a compass, orchestrating his course in life, revealed nothing short of soothing. Floating in limbo between weightless ethereality, wistful abstraction and visceral sensitiveness, Erik's music links up the grief and beauty in well strange and singular ways, dextrously moving the cursor from deep-diving narratives to mind-expanding uplift with seamless ease. Through compositions that fear not exposing themselves in all their nakedly brittle yet resilient charm, Buschmann brushes heartfelt tales in sound that echo far and deep as a universal call to dream your life up to brighter, soul-fulfilling summits.
